Benzoyl peroxide is an acne treatment you can buy without a prescription. When you first start using it, your skin may sting a little. It may also turn red, flake, and feel dry. These side effects are normal and may last several weeks. If they are bothering you, try skipping a day of treatment. Benzoyl Peroxide Vs. Adapalene Vs. Benzoyl peroxide 2.5% /Adapalene 0.1% - which is less irritating?

One study compared the irritation of Benzoyl peroxide 2.5% to Adapalene 0.1% and to a product that combines Benzoyl peroxide 2.5% and Adapalene 0.1%. The study showed that BPO Adapalene was most irritating, followed by Adapalene. Benzoyl peroxide was the least irritating medication of the three.

Waar of niet waar?

Is het waar dat Benzoylperoxide de huid slechter maakt tijdens de behandeling? Wanneer je jouw huid behandelt met Benzoylperoxide is het belangrijk om te weten hoe je de crème of gel gebruikt. Het gebruik van de behandeling eenmaal per dag moet genoeg zijn om de acne, puistjes of mee-eters te verminderen.

What should I know about adapalene before using it?

Do not use adapalene unless it has been prescribed to you by a healthcare provider. Use it as prescribed.

Do not share adapalene with other people, even if they have the same condition as you. It may harm them.

Keep adapalene out of the reach of children.

Wash your hands and the affected skin area with a mild or soapless cleanser before applying adapalene. Do not apply adapalene on skin that has cuts, scrapes, eczema, or sunburn. Avoid waxing for hair removal or applying other products that irritate the skin to areas that have been treated with adapalene.

Your acne might seem worse when you first start using adapalene because the medicine is working on pimples that you cannot see yet. This is normal and is not a reason to stop using adapalene. It may take 8-12 weeks before you notice results.
