MUGLER | ALIEN : LE CRUSH QUE JE N'AVAIS PAS VU VENIR !

Avec la sortie du nouveau parfum Mugler Alien Goddess, je me suis dit qu'il serait (peut-être) intéressant que je me repenche sérieusement sur le parfum Alien original et, pourquoi pas aussi, sur l'une de ses déclinaisons. Il faut dire que j'ai tout à (re)découvrir chez Mugler.

Du coup, j'ai choisi de commencer avec Alien Eau de Parfum et son magnifique flacon inspiré de l’améthyste, taillée façon « émeraude ». Le violet étant ma couleur préférée, il m'a attiré comme un aimant et je dois avouer que ses notes ne sont pas pour me déplaire, non plus !

Alors ai-je été séduite ? Même si j'arrive 16 ans après sa sortie - le temps passe vite, que voulez-vous (lol) - et qu'on ne l'attend plus forcément, voici mon avis sur Alien Eau de Parfum Mugler.

Alien perfume was created by fashion mogul Thierry Mugler. A few years ago, both Mugler’s fashion and perfume brands were purchased by the beauty brand Clarins. Since then, L’Oréal has become the parent company of this brand.

Born Manfred Thierry Mugler in 1948, this Frenchman first launched his highly creative fashion house in the 1970’s. In addition to designing all the clothes, he was also the creative director and advisor for the brand. His designs were popularized for being unorthodox and all-inclusive. He worked with behemoth artists, such as Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Grace Jones, George Michael, and Beyoncé. All artists known for being unconventional in their own right. Clarins Cosmetics purchased the company in 2019. Once they dissolved their fragrance division, Mugler fragrances were purchased by L’Oréal. While the company has changed hands a few times, it remained under French ownership. His retirement from the fashion brand at age 57 didn’t last long. In 2013, at age 65, he returned in the limited, but impactful capacity of creative adviser. Mugler’s current creative director is Casey Cadwallader. Mugler had a full creative life that involved classical ballet training, interior design training through Strasbourg School of Decorative Arts, his career as a fashion and fragrance mogul, and then rigorous body building in his latter years. He lived to be 73 years old. In January 2022, he died of natural causes in his Vincennes, Paris home.
