Ortigia is the essence of Sicily – a synthesis of the intoxicating smells, colours and mystery of the Mediterranean’s largest, oldest and culturally most heterogeneous island.
Ortigia is a small Italian soap and scent company based in Florence. It was founded in Sicily in 2006 by Sue Townsend. The luxurious range of soaps, scents, creams, candles and lotions are formulated using natural products indigenous to Sicily and inspired by the aesthetics, colours and scents of Italy’s most historic and tropical region.
The inspiration is based on Sicilian plants: Zagara – Orange Blossom, Lime di Sicilia – Sicilian Lime, Melograno – Pomegranate, Lavanda – Lavender, Fico d’India, Mandorla – Almond, all indigenous to the luxuriant gardens of Sicily. The base of all the products is natural perfume and natural ingredients: olive oil, vegetable glycerin, and organic colours.
One of Bottega Veneta’s most iconic purses is the Jodie, a compact hobo-style bag made from soft woven leather.
The bag was named for actress Jodie Foster after she was photographed hiding her face from paparazzi with a Bottega Veneta bag.
I love how the Bottega Veneta Jodie’s silhouette is perfectly structured yet relaxed, but that $6,700 price tag gives me serious sticker shock!
A great alternative that’s much for affordable is the Melie Bianco Brigitte Large Recycled Vegan Shoulder Bag, a spot-on Jodie bag dupe for only $150.
The Brigitte Shoulder Bag has that signature woven design and is the perfect size to slip under your arm for daily errands or a night on the town.

Our original Formulary products are actual formulas dating back to 1838, that we have produced the way our pharmacists would have back in the early days.
