Maya Rudolph channels a ‘Cowboy Carter'-inspired Beyoncé on ‘SNL' in ‘Hot Ones' sketch

Maya Rudolph is back as Beyoncé on “Saturday Night Live” for another “Hot Ones” sketch.

Rudolph returned to Studio 8H on May 11 to host “SNL” for the third time since leaving the show in 2007.

The “Bridesmaids” star reprised her Beyoncé character for the show, including a second part to the popular “Hot Ones” sketch from the last time she hosted in March 2021.

In “Hot Ones with Beyoncé 2,” Rudolph donned a “Cowboy Carter” inspired ensemble to embody the singer while cast member Mikey Day took on the role of host Sean Evans.

Referencing her first attempt at tackling “the Hot Ones gauntlet” in 2021 — which didn’t go so smoothly after Rudolph became over heated and needed ice cubes applied to her scalp — Day asked her why she decided to return the show.

“Well, this was the only thing that I have attempted that I did not slay, and that bothered both me and my husband,” she explained.

The first wing didn’t affect Rudolph at all, with the actor declaring to Day, “Oh, that’s a tasty wing, but it’s not that spicy. I’m from Texas baby, your girl likes it caliente.”

Winter 2010. In der burgenländischen Hauptstadt Eisenstadt. Ich, 14 Jahre alt. Es schneit dicke Flocken, die Luft ist kalt, der Geruch von Bratäpfeln und Glühwein weht vom Weihnachtsmarkt zu mir rüber. Ich betrete den Drogeriemarkt der Innenstadt. Warme, fast schon heiße Luft schlägt mir entgegen, der typische Drogeriegeruch.

Mein Blick fällt auf den außergewöhnlich schönen rot-goldenen Flakon. Als ich den Duft aufsprühe, bin ich augenblicklich verliebt. Dieser süßer, fruchtiger Duft versprüht eine derartige Wärme und Gemütlichkeit wie ich sie kaum in Worte fassen kann.

Heat ist sehr schwer-süß, fast schon zuckerlsüß, wie man hier in Österreich sagt.
Die Kopfnote ist fast ausschließlich fruchtig mit einem leicht blumigen, orchideenähnlichen Unterton.
Die Herznote ist cremig, vanillig, warm
Die Basisnote - und die gefällt mir außerordentlich gut - ist schwer holzig und süß, erinnert etwas an Honig. Cremiger Honig mit Vanille gemischt.

Ich schwärmte damals meiner Mama und meine damaligen Freund von diesem Duft vor und siehe da - eine Woche später lag dieser Duft gleich doppelt unter dem Christbaum!
Ich trug diesen Duft so unsagbar gerne!
Was dann passierte, weiß ich nicht. Plötzlich konnte ich mich mit Heat nicht mehr identifizieren und ich fand ihn unangenehm stickig, erdrückend. Trennen konnte ich mich allerdings nicht von ihm.

Sechs Jahre später, Winter 2016. Ich bin nun 21 Jahre alt und entdecke diesen Duft neu für mich. Spontan verwendete ich ihn heute und das alte Feuer entfacht neu. Diese Liebe für Heat, sie ist wieder da.

Für mich ist dieser Duft definitiv für die kalten Wintermonate gemacht, kein Sommerduft.
Die Haltbarkeit ist erstklassig und die Sillage eher kräftiger.

Fazit: winterlicher, süßer Bratapfel-Honigduft, der Gemütlichkeit versprüht.

Und heute friere ich zwar nicht, bin aber niedergeschlagen, weil mein Hundeliebling kränkelt.
Der Kommi meiner Vorrednerin erinnerte mich an Heat und der Duft gibt einem auch seelische Wärme.
