Das atopische Kopfhautekzem

Bei einer Neurodermitis, die auch als atopische Dermatitis bekannt ist, kann die Kopfhaut betroffen sein. Sie zeigt dann die typischen Symptome wie extreme Trockenheit, starken Juckreiz, Schuppung und Entzündungen. Falsche Pflege tut ein Zusätzliches, um die extrem empfindliche Kopfhaut zusätzlich zu reizen. Haare färben, scharfe Shampoos, Fönen und ähnliche Maßnahmen sind tabu, solange die Beschwerden vorhanden sind.

Eine Neurodermitis verläuft in der Regel schubweise. Es geht bei der Behandlung in erster Linie darum, die Symptome wie den starken Juckreiz zu bekämpfen. Dazu sollten die Patienten zum Beispiel auf die richtige Pflege achten und beispielsweise sanfte Shampoos verwenden, die frei von Parfüm, Konservierungsstoffen oder ähnlichem sind. Zusätzlich sollte die Kopfhaut mit einem Haartonikum oder auch mit Öl gepflegt werden.
