Louis Widmer is an international cosmetics and pharmaceuticals company from Switzerland. The family company, with its head office near Zurich, is known for its high-quality skin care and dermatology products. Since it was founded in 1960, Louis Widmer has dedicated itself to sustainability and innovation.

Der Nachhaltigkeit verpflichtet
Den kleinst möglichen Fussabdruck in der Umwelt hinterlassen! Seit der Gründung im Jahre 1960 setzt sich Louis Widmer mit unermüdlichem Engagement für die Nachhaltigkeit ein. Die Verantwortung gegenüber Mensch und Umwelt prägt die gesamte Unternehmenskultur und Vision.
Louis Widmer begegnet der Umwelt, den Menschen und Tieren mit grösstem Respekt. Diese gilt es ohne Kompromisse zu schützen. Bei Tierversuchen hat Louis Widmer eine Nulltoleranzgrenze und engagiert sich unter anderem für das Label «Cruelty Free». Der Schweizer Tierschutz STS nennt Louis Widmer beispielhaft als «tierversuchsfreie Firma» in seinem Report «Kosmetik ohne Tierleid». Länder mit zwingenden Tierversuchen für den Produktimport werden von Louis Widmer nicht beliefert.
Nahezu alle Louis Widmer Produkte sind vegan. Wenige enthalten noch Bienenwachs und Chitosan. Das Louis Widmer Forschungs- und Entwicklungsteam arbeitet mit Hochdruck daran, bis zum Jahr 2025 100 % der Produkte vegan anbieten zu können.
98% der Produkte enthalten keinen festen Mikroplastik. Die restlichen 2% werden aktuell umformuliert – sogar weiter als das Gesetz vorschreibt: Die Louis Widmer Experten eliminieren auch flüssige Mikroplastikpartikel. Bis 2030 sollen 100% der Louis Widmer Produkte komplett frei von Mikroplastik sein.

We cooperate closely with dermatologists and clinics. This cooperation and the resulting continuous exchange with experts uncover new findings all the time, and we use these findings in our products and new developments.
